Another on-campus Tech training by Vinsys-BIMCAD saves the day!
Fresh, young talent from Palestine’s number 1 University – Birzeit sets foot in the corporate world with the assistance of Vinsys International – Master Distributor Autodesk Education Program MEA and Palestine BIMCAD Company, the sole ATC in Palestine.

It is 3 times sweeter when 3 institutions come together to create something that takes exceptional dexterity, zeal and well, the willingness to synchronize interest with scope. This is the story of Autodesk Academic Cooperation that is all set to unlock hundreds of young students’ potential.
The Birzeit University Entrepreneurship Program started in September 2018.
It was when Dr. Wasel Ghanem, Dean of Engineering and Technology Faculty at BZU (Birzeit University, Palestine), kindled the noble idea of training their students on Autodesk software. He soon enough signed an MOU with Vinsys International, a pre-eminent ATC and IT Training Organization. Shortly after the committee members gave a green signal to this altruistic cause, Dr. Wasel instantly gave full access to the computer labs and on-campus Autodesk Training began in no time.
The faculty members of BZU in association with SMEs of Palestine BIMCAD Company have shown some gusto training, encouraging and supporting university students throughout the process! Right from Autodesk awareness lectures to financial aid and operational support was efficiently backed by Vinsys International, as the core training part was being executed by Palestine BIMCAD Company.
It was indeed a challenge, not just for the students, but for every single stakeholder involved in this. Spreading Autodesk software’s efficiency and conveying its desirability in today’s market among young, aspiring engineers was a tad bit of a task. About 10 to 12 seminars were conducted by Vinsys International before the actual commencement of Autodesk training at BZU.
However, getting students to enroll was not the only challenge in this Autodesk Education Program
Lack of high tech infrastructure and lab facilities, incorporating Autodesk training into daily schedules, timely evaluation for hundreds of trainees, and scarcity of creativity tools and learning resources were some of the biggest hurdles too. The whole process of streamlining tasks, schedules, fixtures took six long months. In the end, BZU students faced only one universal challenge: an innovative application of design technology.
“At first, I didn’t know much about Autodesk, but as I started to understand more, it got me really curious. Our teachers and visiting faculty encouraged us a lot. I feel so lucky to be a part of this great learning movement!” expressed one of the second-year students of Birzeit University.
The training sessions were ensured to be comprehensive and project-based. Students were happy to choose their correspondent inclination either Construction or Architecture which had separately divided courses neatly arranged according to the 1st to final year students.
At BZU, extensive 128 hours of professional training to be conducted for the below courses:
• Revit Architecture & BIM
• Revit MEP & BIM
• Autodesk AutoCAD
• Autodesk Fusion360
• 3Ds Max
Consequently, it is turning out to be a huge success. A massive number of 6000 students were impacted as a result of this amazing collaboration.
“This academic collaboration was one of the biggest achievements by Vinsys Autodesk MEA. It gave out an absolutely rewarding experience connecting industries to academia on such a large scale,” stated Mr. Safalya Wanwase, Program Manager at Vinsys International – Autodesk MEA.
He added, “By establishing an e-recruitment platform with BIMCAD and BZU, we must say, the Autodesk Education Program has reached a new benchmark!”
The success came off as quite an astonishment to Dr. Ghanem. Needless to say, the results were outstanding which triggered more funding to train, certify and encourage even a larger number of students from BZU and other Palestinian universities. In addition, Vinsys Autodesk MEA and BIMCAD are to conduct another round of Autodesk training programs in 2020 and are looking forward to emphasizing more on the most in-demand Autodesk software BIM360 and Fusion 360.
