Originally, Yellow Belts were individuals that were trained while working on a project with a Green or Black Belt. However, many companies require formal training for Yellow Belts. In most cases, Yellow Belt has some expertise in the process that is being improved, so he or she needs a basic understanding of Six Sigma in order to support the Green Belt or Black Belt working to improve the process. Yellow Belts do not have the knowledge needed to complete projects.
This was my third corporate training program from Vinsys and every time the experience keeps getting better. I have completed two successful certification programs already, and a lot of the credit goes to the clarity brought about by the relevant subject matter experts (from Vinsys) who trained us. This training module was pure value for money as more than the theory aspect, it required explanation from the application of this knowledge in the corporate world – and the trainer was able to do that with ease. Also, I liked the way all key concepts were covered as part of this training program, in such a short span of time – without making us feel overloaded with information.
