Course Overview

The ISA/IEC 61511 SIL Selection Specialist course is highly informative and useful with respect to industry needs. It provides participants with knowledge of risk assessment for properly controlling the risks along with the SIL to be assigned to the safety systems according to ISA/IEC 61511 standard. With with a focus on functional safety in process industries, it is crucial to understand how SIL can assist in such processes to manage industrial risks and, in turn, protect the operations from various hazards.

Over the parts of the course, participants will have a very rich understanding of what the total safety life cycle looks like, from safety risk identification to safety measures planning and sustaining. Practical sessions enable learners to solve problems because practical teachings are developed from theories and therefore give learners experiences in practical problems the real world may provide. Flexible mode of learning, including self-paced, instructor-led training, or corporate training, enable you to make a balance between work commitments and learning needs.

At the end of the course, the participants will be able to recommend the right SIL level for administering Industrial control systems and implementing safety measures to the highest level. They receive a certification after completing the course.

The course is relevant to safety engineers, risk assessors, and any other individual intending to practice industrial safety.
