- 4,500 hours of project risk management experience
- 40 hours of project risk management education

- Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or the global equivalent)
- 3,000 hours of project risk management experience
- 30 hours of project risk management education

Exam Pattern: Multiple-choice questions
Exam Duration: 3.5 hours
No. of Questions: 170 (20 questions are unscored pretest questions)
Passing Criteria: PMI hasn’t allotted a percentage system, instead, there is a grading system namely - Proficient, Moderate Proficient and Below Proficient. Candidates scoring below Proficient are considered Failed
