Introduction 

Founded initially as the Huntsman Container Corporation, Huntsman Corporation is an American multinational company headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas. It manufactures and deals in chemical products. The company is a producer of adhesives, assorted polyurethanes and performance products. Its clients include Unilever, BMW, Proctor & Gamble, GE and Chevron. As of 2019, Huntsman Corporation’s revenue was around $ 7 billion.   

Challenges faced by the client 

As an MNC, Huntsman wanted their documentations to be translated into a number of languages. The text was in English and it had to be translated, so that their partners and customers in non-English speaking countries could be addressed and informed. In the absence of a translation service provider, there were a great many hurdles in the course of information exchange. Being into chemical manufacturing sector, Huntsman was looking for a business partner who could cater to the immense translation requirement. 

The Vinsys FLS Edge 

The bulk translation requirement was from English to 42 different languages. The translators proficient in the field and also with sound technical knowledge were selected by Vinsys FLS. Maintaining the consistency was crucial, but in the absence of a client specified glossary it was a huge challenge. After an initial expectation setting, the project completion i.e. the delivery of translated texts greatly simplified the information exchange and provided the end users with an unprecedented ease of work. The glossary prepared in the course of translation served as a very helpful reference material to the client and is being followed ever since for the translation jobs in the related projects and language pairs.
