Experience must include leading and directing projects. A project is defined as a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result (as per the PMBOK® Guide).

Additional Education Requirements:

Candidates must also have at least 35 contact hours of formal project management education, unless they are an active CAPM® holder.
If you are an active CAPM holder, the 35 contact hours requirement is waived.
