PRINCE®2 Foundation Certification Course:
There are no formal requirements to unroll in the PRINCE®2 Foundation certification course. However, some contact with the project management environment would be additional as it would enhance understanding of management concepts and terminology.
PRINCE2® Practitioner Certification Course:
Yes, to take the PRINCE®2 Practitioner certification course, you must meet certain requirements. Before enrolling for the PRINCE®2 Practitioner course, you must have passed one of the following certificates:
PRINCE®2 Foundation (or higher)
• Professional project management (PMP) ®
• Certified Project Management Associate (CAPM) ®
• IPMA Level A® (Certified Project Manager)
• IPMA Level B® (Certified Senior Project Manager)
• IPMA Level C® (Certified Project Manager)
• IPMA Level D® (Certified Project Management Associate)
Both the PRINCE®2 Foundation as well as Practitioner exams are monitored and executed by AXELOS. These can appear in any one of the six languages – Dutch, English, German, French, Norwegian, and Polish.
The PRINCE®2 Foundation exam: This has 60 multiple-choice questions and the duration of this exam is 60 minutes. In order to pass, candidates need to secure a minimum of 33 marks or more. The questions are distributed among the following criteria: classic, missing word types, and list. The PRINCE®2 Foundation level is a closed book exam.
This certification holds a lifetime validity and does not require re-certification.
The PRINCE®2 Practitioner exam: This is an advanced certification exam for the PRINCE®2 and consists of 68 objective-type questions that need to be answered within 150 minutes. Candidates need to secure 38 marks out of 68 (55% approx.) to pass the exam.
It is an open book exam (Only the official printed hard copy of the Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE®2 2017 Edition is allowed.) and needs re-certification every 3 years.

What steps do you need to take to become a PRINCE®2 certified professional?
You must obtain PRINCE®2 certification in Dubai from a recognized training provider such as Vinsys and take PRINCE®2 Foundation and field tests to become a PRINCE®2 certified individual. What do I need to do to activate my Vinsys certificate?
At least 85% of PRINCE®2 certificates in Dubai must be completed or, alternatively, the entire batch. In addition, you must pass the PRINCE®2 certificate in the simulation exam in Dubai with a minimum evaluation of 60%.
How often do PRINCE®2 certification test prices change?
Exam fees are set by the certification body and are subject to change. Price adjustments for PRINCE®2 certificates in Dubai are usually announced at the end of the financial year. If you have not planned and booked the PRINCE®2 certification test in Dubai and in the meantime the cost of the exam is increasing, you will need to pay an additional fee to Vinsys.
