Project Management Experience:
- Experience must include leading and directing projects. A project is defined as a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result (as per the PMBOK® Guide).
Additional Education Requirements:
- Candidates must also have at least 35 contact hours of formal project management education, unless they are an active CAPM® holder.
- If you are an active CAPM holder, the 35 contact hours requirement is waived.

About the PMP Certification & PMP Examination
PMP Certification
In project management, the PMP certification is widely known and is considered to be one of the most popular ones in the global level. The candidate demonstrates the competencies of initiating, designing, implementing, reviewing, monitoring, and closing projects for the achievement of organizational goals and objectives. PMP candidates are required to prove their proficiency to manage projects, to control risks, to solve strategic issues and to build valuable products for projects in different industries at the global level, by passing an examination and by fulfilling the conditions of PMI.
About PMP Certification Exam
The PMP examination consists of 180 questions, out of which 5 are pre-test questions. These pre-test questions do not affect your score, and their purpose is to help validate future exam questions. The pre-test questions are randomly distributed throughout the exam. For more details on the current item types in the exam, refer to the PMP Exam Updates page on PMI.org.

Allotted Examination Time:
You are given 230 minutes to complete the exam, though you may complete it in less time if desired. During the exam, there will be two 10-minute breaks:
• First Break: After completing questions 1-60 and reviewing your answers.
• Second Break: After completing question 120 and reviewing your answers.
Note: Once you start a break, you cannot return to the previous section of the exam.
After each break, you’ll sign back in and continue the remaining section(s) of the exam with the remaining time.
Retaking the Exam:
If you don’t pass on your first attempt, you may retake the exam. You are allowed up to three attempts within a one-year eligibility period. After three attempts, you must wait one year from the last exam date before you can reapply for the certification. During this one-year waiting period, you may apply for other PMI certifications.
